Service requests
In order to receive the information necessary for the recognition of professional qualifications in foreign states (in the profession of detective, security officer, pyrotechnician, bomber or head of blasting work), a person shall submit a written submission (request) and a document attesting the performance of the payment to the State Police.
A copy of the personal identification document and the documents certifying education and professional qualifications or certified copies thereof shall be attached to the submission.
An application may be submitted in person, by post or by electronic means (by sending an e-mail to an institution, signed with a secure electronic signature (eParaksta) or by using an e-address of the State Police.
By requiring onsite services, to present a personal identification document (Passport or ID card).Information to be specified in the application
1. the name, address of the place of residence or residence of the person;
2. a profession in which a person has the right to operate in the Republic of Latvia (a document certifying this right shall be indicated);
3. the purpose of requesting a document (for example, for the recognition of professional qualifications, including the name of the profession);
4. a profession in a foreign state in which the pursuit of professional activity requires the receipt of the document requested;
5. the institution to which the document necessary for the recognition of professional qualifications in foreign states is to be transmitted.Content of information
The content of the information to be included in the statement (the payment forms from the sum of the following points):
• the right of a person to pursue a regulated profession in the Republic of Latvia on the basis of an appropriate professional qualification;
• the professional experience of a person in a regulated profession in the Republic of Latvia;
• that a person has not been deprived or restricted from the right to pursue a profession regulated in the Republic of Latvia due to professional offences or criminal offences.Make a payment
The amount of payment depends on the amount of messages to be included in the statement. Accordingly, the amount of payment of the statement may be EUR 37,59 or EUR 30,21 or EUR 15,46.
